Camp Bow Wow Las Vegas!

There is nothing more heartbreaking than to see your puppy begin to cry when she sees you headed towards the front door.  This was always my puppy Tini’s reaction whenever I would leave to go to work or to the gym. I really never gave it much thought other than she probably wanted to come with me but I figured she would soon lie down and sleep like most dogs do.  She is housebroken and never chewed on furniture or clothes so when I would come home, everything was always in order. On a whim, I decided to put a camera on her one day. I was at the gym for about two hours and came back to review the footage. I was very alarmed to see my very quiet and obedient puppy actually howling the moment I closed the front door. It made me really sad.  I was very disappointed in myself for not seeing the signs that she was under distress when I would start to put on… Read More

Local Las Vegas: The Hellenbacks

Las Vegas locals are spoiled. We live in a city dubbed as the “Entertainment Capital of the World” with access to premier musical acts that headline the Strip venues every week!  We also have some of the best local talent performing off the Strip like the The Hellenbacks.  You seriously have to check these guys out. They collectively are a who’s who of musicians with an impressive resume: Al Serrato-drums (Jetboy and Flavor Flav), Michael “Doc” Ellis -guitarist (Sin City Sinners, Love/Hate, and Ratt), Sean Koos-bass (Joan Jett & the Blackhearts), and Jimmy Romero-lead singer (Flavor Flav and BMI writer/producer). Their years of experience in the industry are evident in their polished performances on stage. Also adding their talents are Cian Coey and Adrian Trevino. On July 21st, 9 p.m., at Count’s Vamp’d on Sahara Ave., check out their CD Release Party, with their very special guest, The Saints of LV. Vampires in the Desert features all original rock music. Things To Do in Las Vegas: Wine and Canvas

I am really late to the party. I just saw the movie Fifty Shades of Grey on television last week. I have never read the books so I am not going to have some enraged, long overdue reaction and complain about how the movie was nowhere near how hot the books were or say the movie was completely boring. I actually was entertained by it and thought the actor, Jamie Dornan, who played Christian Grey, was good looking. The timing couldn’t have been better because I received an invitation to a Fifty Shades Night at Wine and Canvas last Friday for a friend’s birthday party. I looked at the Wine and Canvas website and the description read: 50 Shades Night! FREE Bottomless Champagne PLUS Sexy Male Server! It had a photo of the painting we were going to paint and the photo of the server. Oh hell yeah. I was so in. If you are looking for things to do in Las Vegas for a girl’s night out or even… Read More

Ricky Martin: ALL IN

Let me just start out by saying that Ricky Martin is HOT. There, I said it and got it out of the way. There is just no denying that fact. I have never been a Ricky Martin fan nor have I ever disliked him. Whenever I use to see him perform on television, I thought he was good looking and very talented but he wasn’t someone on my playlist in the car. When I heard he was performing at the Park Theater, I didn’t run out to buy tickets. The only reason I arranged to watch him was because my sister was scheduled to visit me and she is a big fan. Her trip was moved to the end of the month so she was not able to watch, but I decided to bring a friend and go anyway. Before Ricky actually takes the stage for his All In concert, a video plays on a huge screen. Ricky is seen, in the last frame, exiting the shower in a towel.… Read More
