WHAT IS THE LIEBSTER AWARD?
The Liebster Award is an online award, given by fellow bloggers to other bloggers. There is no trophy involved in it and the award is simply passed on. It exists to acknowledge and introduce newcomers who are trying to make their mark, in their personal areas of interest, in the blogging world. My favorite part is that it is a medium to support and promote fellow bloggers in the blogging community.
The word Liebster has German origin with several meanings: dearest, sweetest, kindest, nicest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, welcome, sweetheart etc.
HERE ARE ANNA’S QUESTIONS FOR ME AND MY RESPONSES:
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
What I am most proud of has nothing to do with a job or material possessions. My life journey has taken me to this very moment, on some happy and sad paths, but I have learned and loved along the way. All of those positive and challenging experiences have shaped me into the person I am today. I am most proud of who I am. In spite of all of my flaws and imperfections, I do my best to be kind to others, to show compassion and keep a great sense of humor in my back pocket. I have considered myself so blessed to be surrounded by friends and family that love me and support who I am.
What’s on your ride or die make up/skincare list?
I am not one to buy expensive, designer makeup. I am more of the over-the-counter Maybelline, Covergirl or Loreal cosmetics kind of girl. But I do have an obsession with having good skin so I visit the dermatologist regularly to freeze, burn or peel whatever imperfections I have in my endless effort to have flawless skin. I absolutely have to wear sunblock every day and fill in my eyebrows in another endless effort to have the perfect eyebrows which absolutely can make or break your face! 🙂
What advice would you give yourself ten years ago?
I would tell myself to stop worrying so much because more than half the things I worry about never happen. I still tell myself that today.
When you’re having a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better?
All I need is my puppy Tini. She has a wonderful, cute personality and is always happy to see me. How can you not love her face? Here is her picture.
What are your perfect rainy day plans?
I love the rain! It is so calming and soothing to me. My perfect rainy day plans would be cuddling with my boyfriend watching movies on Kodi or Netflix…BUT since I DON’T HAVE a boyfriend, I will cuddle with Tini, watch movies and obsessively eat Cheetos. 🙂
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
If necessary, I can be either but I am more of a night owl.
What does your blog mean to you?
Writing is my passion. It truly fills my heart and soul. When I am writing, I am in my happy place. When I lived In the Philippines, I wrote both on and personal and professional level. When I moved to Las Vegas, my job and other shenanigans kept me from writing. With my blog, I wanted to continue that passion and write about things that moved me. Two months into my blog, it has become a blog that features events and concert around Las Vegas. Don’t get me wrong, I love this city and want to share all the great things about it through my blog. But, I have the ability to write on a deeper level. When things get to a good place with my blog site, I will begin adding more personal thoughts to my posts.
What is your go-to Karaoke song?
I love this question. My sister and I always talk about having that one song we practiced in case we “spontaneously” have to get up and sing something. My song is Faithfully by Journey.
What’s your favorite film you can watch over and over again?
Oh my gosh, I will always watch all those feel-good movies over and over again when they come on television like Sleepless in Seattle and When Harry Met Sally. I will also watch those John Hughes movies like Breakfast Club and Some Kind of Wonderful. And then there’s the Matrix!
What’s your favorite TV show right now?
I don’t watch much television to be honest. I know, I am missing some good shows out there 🙂
What advice could you give to other bloggers?
Write from the heart and never give up because we are all going to be famous one day 🙂
