Cher is absolutely fabulous. There is really no other way to describe her. She is an actress, singer, songwriter, author, and entertainer. She has won an Academy Award, Emmy Award, Grammy Award, and has been nominated for three Golden Globe awards. Who doesn’t love the movie Moonstruck for which she won her well-deserved Best Actress Award?

Cher at Caesars Palace 2010

The first time I ever saw Cher perform live was at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace seven years ago. I was seated in the front row and the experience was amazing. . The evening was a sparkly exhibition, with dancers and acrobats performing elaborate Cirque du Soleil-style routines that dazzled the crowd during her frequent costume changes. I even got to see her up-close doing the tongue and flipping of the hair which have become unique trademarks of most Cher impersonators. She was 64 years old then.

Today, at 71, she continues to captivate and enthrall audiences at the Park Theater at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Regardless of whether you are a die-hard fan or not, you will not be disappointed by her show. As expected, she still has an incredible stage presence and goes through frequent costume changes which her fans have come to expect.

You can also expect to be taken on a journey through her life with your favorite songs, videos documenting her career, and personal stories which include Sonny. I liked how she spoke to the audience during her concert. Reacting to the audience clapping loudly after a song, she said, “Are you amazed by my talent or just astonished that I am here?”

She sings all of your favorites from “If I could Turn Back Time” and “Believe” to earlier hits like “I Got You Babe” and “Half Breed.” She also sings a personal favorite of mine ”After All” which she does with a grand entrance on stage. You’ll have to watch the show to witness this!

The concert venue is a great size allowing everyone to have a great view regardless of where your seat is located. Cher performs throughout the month of August and in November.
