Fall makes my heart happy. It’s around this time that I find myself counting down. In fact, right before I began writing this, I looked at my calendar and counted down the rest of my year: 5 days until Thanksgiving, 17 days until my Dad’s birthday, 27 days until my sister gets here for her annual visit, 36 days until Christmas, and 42 days until New Year’s Eve. All of those occasions have one common denominator—friends and family time, and that makes my heart sing! Usually, the Christmas gift-giving part is a little stressful for me, but not this year because of this great event!

Brunch!

Exactly 8 days ago, I attended the Beauty Blogger Holiday event at the Mariposa, located on Level Two of Neiman Marcus Las Vegas. Neiman Marcus is, of course, the renowned department store which anchors one of my favorite malls in this city, Fashion Show. The event began with a divine brunch, courtesy of Mariposa, consisting of Quail Egg Bruschetta, “Mama’s Chicken and Waffles,” Hash Brown Cupcakes, delicious Doughnuts, and our morning cocktail was their unique take on the mimosa. It was a blend of blood orange vodka and champagne. It was simply delightful!

For the main event, we had the pleasure of hearing some great gift suggestions from some beauty experts from the Neiman Marcus team. Here are my favorites:

Tom Ford Lipsticks

Tom Ford
Tom has created 100 lipsticks and named them after 100 of his friends: 50 Boys and 50 Girls. The Girl shades are shimmery and sheer, while the Boy shades are matte and pigmented. I am not kidding. Isn’t that adorable? The cuteness factor and story behind that should be enough to push these lipsticks to the top of your gift idea list!

Laura Mercier
If you are looking to achieve a flawless look, check out Laura Mercier’s Flawless line of cosmetics. The cosmetics counters on Level One of Neiman Marcus always give out samples for you to take home or offer to apply makeup for you to experience first-hand. I had the pleasure of experiencing Laura Mercier’s

Laura Mercier

Infusion de Rose nourishing lip balm, crème and oil. They smelled so beautiful! The nourishing oil gives your face that hydrating, dewy effect without making it look oily. I was told it would give me that glow-like skin of Jennifer Lopez. Sold!

Jo Malone
Jo Malone ranks high on my list of fragrances this season. Not only can you layer the scents to transform from sweet to sexy to sophisticated, but they also have

Jo Malone Gift Set

THE cutest gift boxes. Plus, you can stop by the Jo Malone counter to sample some of their fragrances before you purchase your gift!

Oribe
If you have a friend like me with thinning hair, the Gold Lust Dry Shampoo is THE perfect gift that they didn’t know they needed. Anyone who has thin hair should not be washing their hair every day. Even people with thick hair should not wash their hair every

day. I feel like I have to because my hair tends to get oily if I don’t wash it daily. The Gold Lust Dry Shampoo has a micro- fine powder formula which absorbs any oil that the scalp may create plus it smells amazing!

Unlike hairsprays, the Dry Texturizing Spray provides volume but it has a more natural, defined finish. Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray adds great texture and body to the hair. Celebrities like Kendall Jenner and Selena Gomez even use it!

Kiehl and fresh
Give the gift of rejuvenation this holiday because everyone is going to appreciate a lot of this after some holiday partying! fresh’s Peony Brightening Night Treatment Mask works while you sleep to not only lighten but illuminate your skin while you catch those

Kiehl and fresh Masks

zzz’s after some serious holiday cheer. Their Black Tea Firming Mask, with an antioxidant, works overnight to give you a lifted appearance.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque works through the night to keep skin moisturized. You should wake up to brighter, more hydrated skin. With continued use, fine lines should also begin to diminish.

John Hardy
I like the message behind John Hardy’s latest campaign which features actress Julianne Moore as one of two women wearing the jewelry. She was

chosen because of her strong self-identity and her work to help self-empower others. The jewelry pieces were all handcrafted by women in Bali.

Well, there you have it. Hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving; maybe you will have the chance to do some Black Friday shopping and pick up some of these items! I am extremely thankful this season to Neiman Marcus for this fabulous prize I won at the event. Just look at this bag of goodies! I am so grateful! Thank you to Christie Moeller as well for putting the event together with the Neiman Marcus team!
